research and planning: music magazine analysis
NME magazine is an indie rock type of magazine, for people who like that sort of music. You can tell this by the way in which the singer presents himself on the front page. With a guitar and the facial expressions on his face. Also what also tells you that it indie rock is the fonts that are used on the front page for example big bold letters and also the colours also make it stands out, with the red and the back goes well together, because it makes the headlines stand out.
the bands are being represented in this picture they look fierce and angry, but also Tom Clark looks into the sounds and looks like he has a bit of an attitude with his facial expression. The clothing that he is wearing is very dark and looks fierce. Also the pictures in the back of the main picture are fierce and make you want to read it, the guy in prison.
The target audience for the NME is people who are into rock music and indie, also established rock bands and it is more aimed for boys, because of the colour scheme it makes it look dirty, with the reds and the black and a green yellow type colour.
The shot type of the magazine is a medium long shot. Which is a really good shot for the singer because you can see his facial expressions and see what he is doing; playing live. There are only 3 colour schemes in this magazine, which are: Black, Grey and White. He uses a guitar and a microphone to show that he is a lead singer. The stories on the magazine are what's happening with the band and when the bands are playing.
